Barbaresco DOCG "Monciraldo"

Barbaresco is considered one of Piedmont’s greatest wines, on par with Barolo. It is a wine that benefits from a period of aging in oak barrels: the wood favors both strength and smoothness, complexity and balance, guaranteeing a harmonic evolution over the years. This wine’s particular vinification style makes it drinkable at a relatively young age, yet it has the potential to evolve for years to come. The result is a rich, full, and smooth wine with great structure.

Aging:
minimum 26 months, of which at least 12 are in barrels

Color:
intense ruby red with hues of garnet

Aroma:
complex, with aromas of blackberry, dried flowers, and notes of spices and cacao

Taste:
elegant, with a medium body, very balanced with soft tannins and a persistent finish

Pairings:
first courses, mixed delicatessen, roasted meat, game, mushrooms, and medium- to long-aged cheeses
