The Christmas markets will see two news labels from Malgrà this year. After the launch of Col dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Cuvée, it is time to show off Rosé dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Rosé de Saignée, the pink pearl of our historical cellars.

It takes ten years of ageing and expertise winemaking skills to give life to Rosé dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Rosé de Saignée. This is a precious, limited-edition wine that has been aged for 120 months on the riddling racks of our cellars. It is a Rosé de Saignée, a unique rosé wine that is made using expert techniques to give the wine abundant aromas and its stunning colour naturally, by interrupting the regular fermentation of Pinot Nero. The must macerates of the skins for about 12 hours, after which the skins are separated out. This method, called salasso, allows the Pinot Nero to give some colour and its characteristic aromatic profile without extracting too many tannins. The result is a rosé with great body and structure that remains refreshing and light.

A short period in Allier oak barrels followed by long-ageing on the lees gives Rosé dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Rosé de Saignéea complex aromatic profile with notes of mineral, red fruits, and tamarind. The long-ageing also creates a fine and persistent perlage, making this a great wine for cocktail parties, aperitivo, and a wide range of dishes.
