Malgrà is signing off on a prestigious new label, Brut Metodo Classico Cuvée, which has been ageing on the lees for 10 years. This is a pearl amongst the rocks and deserves to be enjoyed at special occasions.
The Col dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Cuvée is a wine unlike any other. A sparkling wine, made using the Traditional Method, that has aged for 120 months and born from the sweet hills of Monferrato, an area renown for extraordinary wines. The beauty, rich culture, and lively tradition of wine in this area of Piedmont are even recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage.
It is precisely to celebrate these traditions, this history and our link to the land that Malgrà has, for the first time, produced a limited-edition, special edition of Col dei Ronchi: a sparkling wine with a classic blend of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay that has aged on the lees for 10 years.
A short period in Allier oak barrels followed by a long-ageing on the lees gives the Col dei Ronchi Brut Metodo Classico Cuvéea jewel-like golden yellow colour, a fine and persistent perlage, and a complex aromatic profile with mineral notes of fig, dried fruit, and bread crusts. The good structure of the wine lends itself well to pairings with seafood and fish dishes.
