Monferrato - Cantagalla
The Cantagalla Vineyard owes its name to its particular shape and position that looks like the perch from which farmers used to listen to the early morning crowing of the roosters. Cantagalla is located in the Nizza Monferrato district, 240 metres above sea level, facing south-east.
The cultivation system is traditional guyot fully dedicated to Barbera grapes. The grapes on the upper part of the hillside make a light, sparkling Barbera Monferrato wine with a warm, sweet taste; the middle and lower part of the hillside on the other hand make a fresh Barbera Piemonte.
